Draft for testing in the dev environment, published 2026-10-10. Not in effect.

Summary

  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
  • We do not currently use your information to train AI models, and we will never give it to other companies to train theirs.
  • We collect what we need to run your account and the apps you use, and we tell you below exactly what that is.
  • Members under 18 get extra protection: no advertising, no profiling.
  • You can see, correct, download or delete your information, mostly from your account settings.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy explains how Ridgewill LLC, an Alabama limited liability company ("Ridgewill", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information. It covers:

  • your Ridgewill account, which you use to sign in to every Ridgewill app;
  • our website ridgewill.com, including its support and feedback forms;
  • our support, by email or form;
  • what every Ridgewill app receives from your account. Each app has its own privacy policy for the information collected in that app, such as the Keyodo Privacy Policy. Keyodo and Just Another Recipe (JAR) are Ridgewill brands, not separate companies.

Ridgewill operates only in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your email address, name, date of birth, and optional profile photo.
  • Sign-in details: your password (stored only as a one-way hash), passkeys (we receive only a public key), and two-step verification settings.
  • Connections: the people you connect with, invite, or block, your setting for who can invite you, and email addresses you enter to send invitations.
  • Support and feedback: what you write to us, the email address you use, files you attach, and our replies.
  • Content in apps: what you add inside an app is covered by that app's privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

  • Security and session records: the IP address and browser or device description (user agent) of each signed-in session, sign-ins, failed sign-ins, and account changes such as a new password or email address.
  • Agreement records: which version of our terms you accepted, when, and the IP address and device you accepted from.
  • Error reports: when something fails in our services, an error report with the error, the part of the service involved, and an anonymous account identifier. Our error-reporting provider also records the IP address of the request and a rough location based on it.
  • Email records: a record of each email we send you (its type, when it was sent and whether it was delivered). If anyone asks us to stop emailing an address, we record the address and the IP address, country and browser of the request.
  • Abuse protection: our forms and sign-in use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser to tell people from bots.

Biometrics. When you use a passkey or your device's fingerprint or face unlock, the check happens on your device. We never receive your fingerprint or face data.

Information from others

  • Sign-in providers. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, they send us your email address and name, and Google or Microsoft may send your profile photo. Apple may give us a private relay email address. We never receive your password for those accounts.
  • App stores and billing. If you buy a subscription, Apple or Google tells us, through our billing provider RevenueCat, what you bought and when it renews or ends. We never receive your card or bank details.
  • Other members. Members may enter information about you, such as your email address in an invitation, or your name in a shared record.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Services: create and run your account, sign you in to every app, connect you with people you choose, deliver invitations, and run each app's features.
  • To keep the Services safe: protect accounts, prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • To communicate: send service email and notifications, answer support requests, and tell you about changes to our terms or this policy.
  • To provide paid features you bought.
  • To find and fix problems and improve the Services.
  • To create aggregated statistics that do not identify anyone, such as how many accounts use each app. We keep such information in a form that cannot reasonably identify you, we will not try to re-identify it, and we require anyone we share it with to do the same.
  • To apply age rules: your date of birth is used only to decide what you can use and to apply protections for members under 18.
  • Legal: keep records of what you agreed to, comply with law and valid legal requests such as subpoenas, and protect rights and safety.

4. How we share information

  • People you choose to connect with see your name and profile photo, and what you share with them in an app.
  • Ridgewill apps receive your name, email address and profile photo from your account so they can show who you are.
  • Service providers that run parts of the Services for us, under contracts that let them use the information only to provide their service to us:
Type of providerWhat they do
Hosting and databasesRun our servers and store our databases
Website and network servicesHost our website, route our email, store uploaded files, and protect our forms from bots
Email deliverySend our email
Error monitoringReceive error reports
Subscription managementTrack subscriptions bought through Apple and Google
Sign-in providers (Apple, Google and Microsoft)Sign you in, if you choose to sign in with them
Font serviceServes the fonts on our website

Each app's privacy policy lists any additional types of providers that app uses.

  • Legal and safety. We disclose information when we believe the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect someone's safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect our rights. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires.
  • If Ridgewill changes hands. If Ridgewill is merged, acquired, reorganized or sells assets, information may transfer to the new owner, which must keep honoring this policy for information collected under it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing. No third party collects information about your activity across other websites or apps through our Services.

5. Advertising, analytics and AI training

Today we do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools, and we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

We may add product analytics or advertising for adult users in the future. If we do, we will first update this policy and tell you by email and in the app at least 7 days ahead, explain what changes, and give you a simple way to opt out, or ask for your consent where the law requires it. We will honor browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control. We will not use information collected before the change for those new purposes unless you agree.

We will never show targeted ads to, sell the information of, or profile, anyone under 18. We will never sell location information.

We do not currently use your personal information to train large language models or other AI models. We may in the future use it to train or improve machine-learning models that we use ourselves to improve the Services. If we do, we will update this policy and tell you first. We will never sell or share your personal information with other companies to train their AI models.

Do Not Track. We do not track you across other websites or apps, and we do not let others do so through our Services, so a browser's Do Not Track signal does not change what we do.

6. Our website and cookies

Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and does not set cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set a cookie needed for security and bot protection. When you load a page, Google Fonts receives your IP address to deliver fonts. The support form collects the email address on your account, which product you need help with, your description and any file you attach. The feedback form collects your message and, if you give it, your email address and whether we may contact you.

7. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live in the United States, you can:

  • See and get a copy of your personal information. On request, we will send you a copy of the personal information you gave us, in a common electronic format such as a spreadsheet or JSON file, up to twice a year;
  • Correct it;
  • Delete it, or your whole account;
  • Choose who can invite you, and block people;
  • Stop optional email in each app's settings. Anyone can stop all email to an address from the link at the bottom of our emails;

You can do most of this yourself in your account settings and in each app. You can also delete your account on the web at [account deletion URL]. For anything else, email privacy@ridgewill.com. We will verify your request through your account, and answer within 45 days. We may extend that once by another 45 days, and will tell you why. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will answer within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of today. Nevada residents may send a request not to sell their information to privacy@ridgewill.com. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. Some state laws give additional rights or set different deadlines. Where a law that applies to us gives you more, we follow that law.

App informationAs each app's privacy policy says

When you delete your account, we delete your information from our active systems within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days. If you have accepted any of our terms, or our staff took an action on your account, we keep those records for 7 years as evidence. We remove your name, email address and photo from your account, and keep a sealed copy of your identity that only links to those records. Information other members rely on, such as a shared trip or cost record, stays in their records with your name removed. Each app's privacy policy explains what that app keeps.

9. Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, passwords stored only as one-way hashes, passkeys and two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Children under 13

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and do not let anyone under 13 create an account. We do not store the details of a refused sign-up. If we learn that we have collected a child's personal information, we delete it. Parents can contact privacy@ridgewill.com.

11. Members aged 13 to 17

Members aged 13 to 17 may use the Services only with a parent or legal guardian's permission, as our Terms explain. For members under 18:

  • No advertising, no sale of their information, no profiling, and no third-party analytics, ever.
  • Ridgewill apps receive only an age range, never the date of birth.
  • Each app's privacy policy says what members under 18 can do in that app and what it collects from them. Today, only Keyodo allows members under 18 (see the Keyodo Privacy Policy, section 9).
  • At 18, these protections end, and we will ask the member to accept our terms in their own name.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. For a material change, we will tell you by email and in the app at least 7 days before it takes effect, unless a change must take effect sooner to comply with law or protect security. We will not use information we already have in a materially different way without first giving you a chance to agree or to withdraw your consent. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and we keep a record of earlier versions and what changed.

Version history

  1. October 11, 2026 (latest)

    Adds a section on testing pre-release versions: what test versions may record (crash reports, performance, device details and how features are used), optional detailed diagnostics including screen recording only when you turn them on, and how long it is kept. For test versions the Testing Terms control where they differ, but they never reduce your legal rights, the protections for members under 18, or our promises not to sell your information, not to use it for targeted ads, not to sell location, and not to let others train AI on it.

    Also clarifies that crash and error reports are not analytics, including for members under 18.
